Glori Energy conducted a global search for novel approaches to biotechnology-based oil recovery that had demonstrated success in the field. Glori then acquired the best-in-class technology and know-how through a series of IP licenses, collaborations and acquisitions. With five years of additional research by Glori’s science and engineering teams, the AERO™ (Activated Environment for Recovery of Oil) System was introduced. The AERO™ System represents over 60 years of research in biotechnology applied to oil recovery. AERO™ and its predecessor technologies have collectively produced millions of barrels of incremental oil.

The AERO™ System is developed and deployed as a unique solution for each client’s reservoir through the strict adherence of Glori’s S3 process – Sample, Simulate, Stimulate – a systematic, milestone based process for optimizing success in recovering trapped oil.

Glori continues to improve the AERO™ System at the field level using its unique Green Field Project.
